Elder Service Providers April Lunch Meeting

It will be April 23rd from 11:30 until 1:00 at Mi Mexico, 241 Telegraph Rd, Bellingham, and will be hosted by Bellingham Health Care & Rehabilitation. The guest speaker is Terri Porra, RN, DNS, who will be talking about “Skilled Nursing… Not Just Long Term Care.”  Cost for the lunch is $12.00.  Please RSVP to Melinda Herrera, Admissions Coordinator at Bellingham Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Part-time Program Assistant Position Available with Interfaith Coalition

Interfaith Coalition is seeking a part-time program and administrative assistant for the Friendly Visitors program, a senior outreach program which matches compassionate volunteers with isolated seniors. Flexible 7-10 hours per week. If you have a passion for service, as well as excellent communication, computer and administrative skills, then please email laura@interfaith-coalition.org for a complete job description.

Teepa Snow is presenting "Caregiving Gems" to help caregivers understand the progressive losses of a person with dementia. Pre-registration is required. Memory Awareness Screenings - a free service but donations are gratefully accepted. Third Tuesday of the month in 2008. Make an appointment by calling 360-671-3316, or drop in between 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at St. Luke's Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Pkwy, Bellingham. The screening is non-invasive, non-threatening and takes only a few minutes. Only you receive the results.
