Elder Service Providers Professional Dinner – please note date change
In lieu of our luncheon meeting this month, Elder Service Providers will be hosting our annual Professional Dinner, and you won’t want to miss this! We have made some exciting changes to this year’s event and hope that you will take this opportunity to celebrate with us and enjoy an evening of great food, entertainment and camaraderie.
Treat yourself and your staff to an elegant evening of fun and networking. The fully catered dinner includes appetizers, a delicious buffet dinner, dessert and wine bar for only $15 for ESP members and $20 for non-members.
Date change - Tuesday April 21st, social hour and networking 5:30-6:30, dinner 6:30.
The event will be held at Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway. Many thanks to Westford Funeral Home for donating the use of their lovely, historic hall.

Service of Memory
Whatcom Hospice invites you to our annual Service of Memory to be held Sunday, May 3, 2009, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway in Bellingham. Through song, pictures, candle lighting and a memory table, we will remember your loved ones who have passed away. All family, friends and caregivers are welcome. Memory Awareness Screenings - a free service but donations are gratefully
accepted. These are held the third Tuesday of the month. Make an appointment by calling 360-671-3316, or drop in between 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
at St. Luke's Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Pkwy,
Bellingham. The screening is non-invasive, non-threatening and takes only a
few minutes.

is a dementia care and training specialist with over 28 years of experience
in the field of geriatrics. Teepa's presentations are always extremely
dynamic and educational. Don't miss this one!
Northwest Regional Council Opening
Northwest Regional Council, an Area Agency on Aging, seeks an Information & Assistance Specialist to assist older adults access social services and supports. Duties include providing information on the services, products and/or resources available to clients and their families through social service agencies, medical providers, and community partners in the aging network. I&A Specialists screen clients for services, make referrals to the appropriate resource(s) and provide general assistance to clients and families.
This is a 1 FTE, benefits eligible position. NWRC offers excellent medical/dental/vision benefits and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services for the employee and their dependent(s). Other benefits include participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), long term disability insurance, life insurance, various deferred compensation programs, Flex Plans for health and/or child/elder care, paid leave, sick leave and 11 holidays per year.

14th Annual Caregiver Conference
The Caregiver Conference was a HUGE success, thanks to the many, many, hours of hard work by the conference committee. There were over 500 in attendance, including 50 vendors. Attendees enjoyed a day of education, camaraderie, and great food! Many thanks to the conference committee.
