ESP Professionals have a Night Out!

We had a lovely evening at the Northwood Hall for our Professional Dinner. It was good to see about 100 of you there - relaxing with a good meal and having time to chat with other people who work hard to make life better for our elders.

If you missed picking up a directory of all 60 member organizations and 161 individuals - please contact the secretary to get your copy. We ask for a $5 donation to cover printing costs.

ESP Caregiver Conference

We are in the run-up to our annual conference, which this year will be held on Saturday, March 12th at Best Western Lakeway Inn. The theme of the day is "Caregiving Through the Seasons of Life" and the keynote speaker is Joyce Beedle, RN, BSN. Joyce has focused her career in the area of chronic illness for over 20 years. She has been a consultant to the Alzheimer's Association since 1985, and is a certified trainer in the Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer's Care. She will share her skills and insights as a nurse, author, consultant and trainer with humanity and humor - in the keynote address and in two workshops.

The Conference includes other breakout sessions on relevant topics such as Depression, Staying Safe at Home, What the doctor needs to know, End of Life Issues, Community Resources, and Medication Management.

There are a few spaces available on the conference tote bags which will be given to each attendee. This is a great way to advertise your company to all participants without a huge expense. For information Please call Debbie Gann at (360)734-3849 or email debbie@homeattendantcare.com

With the help of generous sponsors we have kept the conference affordable ($15 for caregivers/students, $45 for professionals). Registration is required and we must limit attendance to the first 425 people who register. Respite Care is available for family caregivers who cannot leave their loved one alone for the day - reservations for Respite must be in by February 11th.

Exhibitor Tables for the ESP Caregiver Conference

Registration forms were mailed out to current ESP members (one per organization). There are a limited number of tables, so please send in your forms as soon as possible. Tables are given on a first come- first served basis and we always fill up.

If you are a member, look in the mail! Questions or extra forms for exhibitors can be obtained by emailing wallajm@dshs.wa.gov or calling Jodi at 738-2500.
