The First Tuesday Club

The next First Tuesday Training for Guardians will be Tuesday, November 7th at the Burlington Senior Center. The presentation is on "Investments for Fiduciaries". Tony Pechthalt from Edward Jones will be our presenter. This will be training helpful to experienced Guardians as well as new Guardians. Please join us from 11:30 for a brown bag lunch; the presentation is from 12:00 to 1:00. This will be approved for 1 Guardian of the Estate Credit for CPG's. $15.00 for 1.5 CPG credit, $5.00 for information only guests.

Also, we are attempting to decide if we should continue with these trainings for 2007. If we do continue, we would like your support and suggestions. Caregiver Conference Update

“Discovering the Hidden Treasures in the Depths of Caregiving” is the theme of the 2007 ESP Caregiver Conference that will be held at Christ the King Conference Center, on Friday, March 16, 2007.  The Conference Committee is very excited to have keynote speaker Shelly Zylstra of Northwest Regional Council, as well as a huge variety of breakout sessions lined up.  We are expecting 450 caregivers to attend, and there are several sponsorship opportunities available.

First – we have limited space available on the tote bags, and they are filling up.  For a mere $150, your company’s name will be imprinted on 850 durable canvas bags that the caregivers will carry with them throughout the Conference and the upcoming year.  Bags leftover after the conference will be distributed throughout the community, probably at next year’s Senior Day at the Park.  Contact cindy@cindysherwin.com for more information.

Second – Put yourself and your company in front of 450 caregivers by being a vendor at the Conference.  Four levels of sponsorship are available, and the top two have the extra bonus of having your company name printed on the 5,500 brochures that will be sent out, among other perks.  The deadline for those two levels is November 30, 2006.  Contact sueramey@msn.com for more information.

Company Updates

Home Attendant Care would like to announce the return of Carla Wood.  Carla worked as a Case Mgr for us from 1990-1996 and then spent the past 10 years continuing to work with seniors thru Community Action Agencies and DSHS.  Her experiences with seniors in general as well as her years working specifically with our agency make her the perfect person for our Burlington office.  We are very pleased to have Carla back on board and would love for each of you to stop by and introduce or re-introduce yourself to her.  321 Burlington Blvd, Burlington.
